Main Thought:

This is the person in your life that you love to meet with. Whenever you walk away from them you leave feeling inspired to do more, encouraged to try harder, or full of energy to keep fighting whatever you are going through. This person can see your potential, the silver lining in each attempt and "failure", knows when you're down and need positive words to be energized to continue on. They stand in contrast to but also compliment the truth-teller (as both work towards seeing you accomplish your goals by living out your giftings).

Meeting together to encourage one another on towards love and good deeds with a visionary and encourager leads to understanding your purpose, being rejuvenated to continue on and inspired by love to do good deeds.

Col 1:9-14

Paulʼs Prayer for the Growth of the Church

9 For this reason we also, from the day we heard about you, have not ceased praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects – bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saintsʼ inheritance in the light. 13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Heb 10:24-25

24 And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, 25 not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near.

1 Thes 5:11-14

11 Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, just as you are in fact doing.

Final Instructions

12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labor among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.

Heb 3:13-14

13 But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” that none of you may become hardened by sinʼs deception. 14 For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence firm until the end.
